Background
New regulations, due to be announced in the Spring of 2001, may require the owners of business premises to keep a documented record of asbestos in ANY buildings in use by their employees. This may be carried out in several ways, by having a dedicated specialist on site, by appointing a member of staff to manage records as part of their job, or appoint the work to be carried out on a sub-contract basis.
